The UndefeatedAn Acid House Romance
(Extract)
Party Chicks can be subdivided, man, intae like two groups: Hiya Lassies and Sexy Feminists. Straight-Pegs are women who dinnae touch drugs, eh no man, and they shag only dull twats like themselves who are intae aw that home-and-garden shite. These are mainstream straight-pegs, man, dead easy tae spot. There are alternative straight-pegs, the kind ay po-faced feminists who read the Guardian or the Independent and that and are intae career-development paths and aw that sort ay shite. You have to watch them, if they arenae dykes, man, you can sometimes mistake them for Sexy Feminists. No always, but sometimes.
Extracted from Ecstasy by Irvine Welsh.

Weak and PowerlessTilling my own grave to keep me level
Jam another dragon down the hole
Digging to the rhythm and the echo of a solitary siren
One that pushes me along and leaves me so
Desperate and Ravenous
I'm so weak and powerless over you
Someone feed the monkey while I dig in search of China
White as Dracula as I approach the bottom
Desperate and Ravenous
I'm so weak and powerless over you
Little angel go away
Come again some other day
Devil has my ear today
I'll never hear a word you say
He promised I would find a little solace
And some piece of mind
Whatever just as long as I don't feel so
Desperate and Ravenous
I'm so weak and powerless over you
Desperate and Ravenous
I'm so weak and powerless
over you

LTCDay 1
Stomachs churn
Hearts beat faster
Souls got excited
Voices got louder.
CHallenges arise
Obstacles ladi for us
Tension builds up
Perserverance solved all.
My eyes hurt
My body weakens
My leg aches
Im just tired.
Day 2
Noises and chirping grew louder
Shadows crept in the bird house
Tossing and turning
Fed-up and awakening.
My stomach was hungry
Boiling its content
I felt the temperature rising
Worsened by the blazing sun.
Becoming a circus act
Was amazingly not a mere act
It was hot and sunny and wet
But was fun and gorgeous and obviously a blast.
Day 3
I believe I can fly
Fly without wings.
I know I can trust
Trust Aragon.
Am I on belay?
Belay on.
Commands given
Flight took off.
Forward, backward, right and left
Paddling as we left
Left the camp for a short period
To glide through the water like a fish.
The ring needs to be delivered
Delivered to Aragon
Journey of challenge
Of commitment and of cooperation.
Day 4
Water water everywhere
Oh wonderful sights all around
We glide through the water
Going from one place to another.
The view of nature
Marvels and amazes
Full of life and vibrance
Making the lonely sea a place of rejuvenation.
Skits acted
Poem recited
Dance performed
And Music played.
Finale Night,
Joys and tears entangled and entwined.
Joys of going home
Tears of leaving behind.
Day 5
The Final countdown began
Final Challenge posed
Working hard and planning
Trying to be the one winning.
Spirits were high
Souls were hyped
Cheers were made
Songs and dance chereographed.
A sign of friendship,
A sign of love,
A sign of everlasting unity
A sign of close bonding
A sign of team spirit.
Leaving was hard,
All the memories we keep
Wants to be relived
We were young but we grew
We were scared but are brave
We just believed
We could fly
We could soar.
Oh Aragon, Oh King.
